Looks like the trucks are leaving, and we’ll get peace and quiet back on the walking trail….
And hopefully the slight odor of sewage will disappear.
All manner of equipment was used the past few weeks to update the infrastructure that runs through the park.
Alexandria city workers were on the job to quickly remedy some of the damage from the recent rain storm.
If this structure is sewage-related, and I don’t know if it is, then I’m glad they were out there and had this thing contained. The rush of water from upstream tore the bricks apart and blew the lid right off the thing. It looks like they can prevent that from happening again by encasing the thing in concrete.
In the mean time, I think I’ll wait a while for the water to clear up before wading in and letting my dog play downstream from this thing.
